South America's glory - pimped

Voy Kay 14 Apr 2020

Last month, I ended up painting a fiasco out of my continent's series. South America was really badly executed so I decided to pimp it.
Can you spot the six differences with the older version? Here, I added a tucan and a pinguin silhouette. The llama finally looks like a llama and is no longer floating on an Island in the sky. The bushes underneath the mountains have more body now and the gesso contouring has been accentuated a little.
Maybe few changes but for a maximum effect since now, I dare to show this to the public without blushing!! Please enjoy this pimped version!

The added penguins and birds are nice. Good job!

Yes Jin, and that penguin was a real though one since the white paint was fresh and had to draw that penguin over it; Even with paint thinner, it took sometimes up to five strokes before I got some descent black parts.

Aha, penguin. I did not see tucan.
My favorite here is Easter island head and a piranha.
You are very creative Voy!

Dear Sunnylady, it is that creativeness that keeps me flowing, I need that.
When I write poetry, i take on all subjects and play with multiple styles and forms.
When I do acting, I take on any part, just for the fun of it.
When I play and compose music, I do everything except heavy metal, rap, hiphop and reggae.
When I draw or paint, I simply wanna have a taste of all styles but I think you might already know which ones are my favourites.
When I write novels, I have my own rythm and form yet take on all sorts of different styles, whether that's comic, drama, sci-fi, thriller or erotic.

The Easter Island Moai is indeed a success and I am thinking loudly about painting a significent part of Easter Island with Moai's. Till next one!!

This is great. Yes your llama looks like a llama now and he looks better where he is standing. And I love the toucan. I cant wait to see your Easter Island soon. (Hint)

Coming soon LJM, the draft is already finished, now I just need the correct timing to paint it which will probably be still in April. We are in lockdown till early May so plenty of time to paint, next to daily gardening!
The llama really has improved a lot, did it not? I have seen and petted so many llama's already with my voyages to Bolivia and Peru (8 times already!), that it would be a shame not to alter this painting. The toucan and the penguin were added to take away attention from my less successful mountains and jungle.
So glad you love it! Till next one!!

Easy to look at. Very eye catching. I love the penguin!!

South Ameria is closest to Antarctica, that's why I really wanted that penguin in.
If you like these kind of paintings, there are two more that I made earlier, please have a look!

This one is awesome! I love it. What a great idea. My favorite part is the Easter Island head.

Hahaha, yessss, most people love this one! The idea of contouring a continent in black gesso is already great, but adding some side kicks, like the Moai and the penguin gives a real boost to this painting.
Glad you loved it, two more continents in my portfolio so please, have a look!
